Come play for NOVA!
Thank you for your interest in Northern Virginia Community College or NOVA as we are widely known. While new to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), NOVA has a solid winning tradition and expects great things from all its athletics teams, student-athletes, and coaching staff.
NOVA’s athletics program have earned a reputation for
success. We have a tradition of winning
championships and making NOVA proud. Most recently, the
women's basketball team won the Virginia Community College System
(VCCS) State Championship in 2012. The men's basketball team
won the VCCS Championship in 2011.
NOVA has had athletic teams from nearly the time the college was founded in 1964. However, we are very excited to have joined the NJCAA in 2011 so that are student-athletes can earn the academic and athletic recognition they deserve.
Numerous student-athletes have moved on from NOVA to earn
athletic scholarships at four-year colleges and universities across
the United States. We are proud of these students that have
used their academic and athletic experiences at NOVA and earned a
four-year degree and beyond!
We hope this page allows you to find all the information you need
in your quest to becoming part of the NOVA family. We wish you all
the best and hope to see you in the near future.
