Thomas Connolly begins his sixth season with the NOVA men’s soccer program, and fifth season as head coach.

Connolly has led the Nighthawks to their most successful seasons in program history. First in 2015, NOVA finished the year with a 7-6-1 record and in 2017 the Nighthawks closed out the year with an 11-3-1 mark.

The Nighthawks goalies and defense went 310 miniutes without allowing a goal in 2017.

Thomas, a Minneapolis, Minn., native, comes to NOVA after serving as the head coach of the George Washington University Club Soccer team in 2010 and 2011, leading the team to a 9-2-5 overall record and the team's finest finish to date in the regional competition in 2010.

Thomas also participated in training with the Maryland Olympic Develop Program under Keith Tabatznik and in the local area with Len Oliver, head of the DC Stoddert Club.

In addition to coaching, Connolly also plays competitively in the Washington Premier League with the prestigious La Barra Brava club and trains youth goalkeepers in the D.C. area.

Connolly a graduate of Georgetown University, currently resides in Washington, D.C., with his wife and young son. He works as a recruiter in the financial services industry.
